The back story… The President of Barnegat Light Taxpayers’ Association is automatically a member of the Open Space Committee in Barnegat Light. When the Coast Guard property was up for sale, we met as a committee to discuss the purchase and the vision for the town. The BLTA did a survey where 65% of the people in town wanted the property preserved for recreation. Therefore, the idea of the Pavilion was born. The BLTA participated with the purchase of the benches to encourage residents to relax and enjoy!
