Beach Haven — On Friday, June 7, the 29-minute short documentary “To Make a Long Story Short,” by filmmakers Sal Del Giudice and Jeff Sternberger, premieres at the new Bird & Betty’s in Beach Haven, as part of the Lighthouse International Film Festival.

Starring Ricky “Shorty” Tisch, John Kern and Dee Faracee, the documentary tells the story of Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns, as the band and its 3-foot-tall, wheelchair-driving front man “reflect on the 20-year journey to become the most sought after party band on the Jersey Shore.”

The screening, to start at 10:15 p.m., is followed by a question-and-answer session with the filmmakers and band members, then a special performance by the band. Tickets or all-access passes are required. To purchase tickets, visit lighthousefilmfestival.org or buy them at the entrance to each event.
