Libraries Readying Prom Dress Collection

The Ocean County Library will run its 11th annual Prom Dress Drive and Giveaway beginning Friday, Feb. 1. Donations will be accepted through Friday, April 5.

The drive will provide formal attire to middle and high school age students at no charge for their school’s formal events. Donations give students the opportunity to join their friends at a memorable event with confidence.

Donations of gently used, modern dresses in both long and short styles, in a wide range of sizes including larger gowns, are appreciated. Tuxedo jackets, vests, shirts and pants are also accepted. No bridesmaid dresses or men’s suits should be donated.

A list of free distribution dates taking place at various branches will be made available later.

For more information, contact a local branch or log onto theoceancountylibrary.org.
