HARVEY CEDARS, NJ — Plantation Restaurant and Bar will close permanently after 17 years on Long Beach Island. The restaurant will say goodbye and close its doors Saturday, Oct. 12.

Black Eyed Susans, which operates down the road on Long Beach Boulevard, will make the property its new location.

“It has been a wonderful 17 years and we are thrilled for Black Eyed Susans will take the space,” said Marty Grims, owner of Plantation and Fearless Restaurants. “The sale of Plantation allows us to focus our efforts on our other two LBI properties Daddy O and Tuckers Tavern, which added the rooftop Buoy Bar this summer.”

Black Eyed Susans is owned by two Barnegat Light residents: Ashley Pellagrino and Christopher Sanchez. The move allows the chef-spouse team to open a full on-site bar and diverse menu selections. The restaurant opened in 2010, becoming one of LBI’s most awarded dinner destinations.

“This is an incredible opportunity for Black Eyed Susans to serve the community in a larger capacity,” said Chef-Proprietor Christopher Sanchez. “We are so excited to build on what Plantation has established here in Harvey Cedars.”
