During the month of November, the Long Beach Island branch of the Ocean County Library in Surf City will exhibit the “Captured Moments” photographs by George Rahn, a lifelong resident of New Jersey and a 50-year resident of Ocean County. Rahn’s love of nature, especially the ocean, and sunrises and sunsets along the New Jersey coast inspired him to start taking photos. His hobby of photographing the splendor of nature became an attempt to capture the ever-changing beauty of each day.
Several of his photographs were judged and selected by a curator at the Modern Museum of Art in New York City for display at exhibits at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies.
The photographs may be viewed during regular branch hours: Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
