Join presenter Chris Huch at this weekend’s Science Saturday as he goes deep into the subject of flooding along New Jersey’s coast. The lecture runs from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the main building of the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies.
Huch, an adjunct professor at Stockton University, will discuss sources of, and outlook for, flooding in our area. “Learn about past, current and future flood risks and what they mean for New Jersey’s coastal residents,” said LBIF marketing and programs associate Jillian Schratz.
Science Saturday, now in its 12th season, invites experts to speak about pressing scientific, ecological and sustainability issues that directly affect the shore environment and community.
A schedule of all upcoming lectures is available online at lbifoundation.org/science/science-saturdays-3. Presentations will be held every Saturday through April 28.
No registration is required. Admission is free for Foundation members. A $5 donation per person is requested from all other attendees. Breakfast treats and coffee are provided by Little Bite of Italy in Surf City.
