Barnegat Light Taxpayers Association Has New Officers

New officers elected by the Barnegat Light Taxpayers Association are Barbara Truncellito, president; Dr. Richard Brodman, vice president; Thomas Zesk, secretary; William Chrnelich, treasurer.

The officers were chosen at the association’s September meeting. The president and vice president serve a term of two years; other trustees serve for three years and are then subject to renweal for another three years. Four to five new trustees will be elected at the October reorganization meeting.

Immediate past President John Tennyson was thanked for his service. He told members and past officers, “I could not have been as effective without your assistance. It was an honor for me and one that I am truly grateful for. I know that you will continue to support Barbara and Rich as they continue on our climb upward.”

The association has 542 members.

Truncellito listed three main goals for the association. One is “building on our communication efforts through email newsletters, social media and our website.” The website is barnegatlighttaxpayer.org.

The second is increasing the membership through direct mail and by reprising the successful wine and cheese event.

A third is “the continued efforts afforded the Barnegat Light community through three general meetings, giving Barnegat Light residents an opportunity to meet and discuss issues relevant to the town and access to the mayor and members of the borough council,” she said. Mayor Kirk Larson and council members attend the meetings.
