A free seminar about Barnegat Bay, its history, and its future will be held 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 in the Community Center at Stockton University at Manahawkin, 775 East Bay Ave.
The program is hosted by the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES), and will be presented by John Wnek, adjunct professor at Stockton and MATES supervisor.
Wnek will educate attendees about habitats, waterfront property issues and species that reside in Barnegat Bay. Wnek will also explore the ecosystem’s rich history, looking back as many as 30 years to make predictions regarding its future.
The presentation is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
