Artsy Craftsy: Harvey Cedars Craft Day by the Bay is this Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Arts and crafts vendors set up in Sunset Park, West Salem Avenue in Harvey Cedars.

Glass Act: Artist Mary Tantillo unveils a new work “Embers” created over the winter for her series of daily sun and nature designs at SwellColors in Surf City. Watch Tantillo work daily on this project; a reception is planned for August 2 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Fused Glass Fish-making 1 hour workshop is offered on Wednesdays at SwellColors. You will learn how to safely cut glass and the basics of fusing glass to make a large fish. Cost is $175 and includes professional instruction and materials. Call to preregister. 609-494-7600

SwellColors North in Viking Village, Barnegat Light showcases and demonstrates new works in jewelry by metal smith Ceire Parker during an open house, Saturday, July 6 from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Parker is known for her use of mixed metals, hand pierced designs, and beautiful texturing. Free, plus refreshments.

Beaches and Boats: Beach Haven borough presents an exhibit of “Beaches and Boats” at borough hall; 73 artworks are on display through Sept. 9. The show includes 61 paintings by 30 Pine Shores Art Association artists and 12 historic photos.The show is open to visitors during borough hall hours, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

LandWorks: The LBI Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies is the venue for contemporary artists who create site-specific artworks, environmental subject matter, experimental mediums and urban landscapes in its “Landworks Exhibition,” through July 14. An opening reception is planned for Friday, July 12, at 6 p.m. preceded by a lecture by artist Ken Smith at 5 p.m. In conjunction with LandWorks, Nora Lawrence, senior curator at Storm King Art Center, will lecture on Saturday, July 6, at 5 p.m. followed by sunset cocktails.

Studio Samplers: Coiled basketry with Sandra Kehoe is Tuesday, July 2. Cost is $40 plus materials fee of $15. Paper Stencil Silk screening with Catherine LeCleire is Tuesday, July 9. Both are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Adult Nights Out: On Thursday, July 11, at 6 p.m., take a fused glass workshop with Cheryl Syminink. Fee is $30 plus $10 materials fee.

Two Saturday drop-in ceramics programs are offered at the LBIF. Fire Me Up is a drop-in-anytime event between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to paint bisqueware, cups, dishes etc. for a $15 fee (members free) plus the cost of the ceramics. The ceramics will be fired and can be picked up at a later date. Or if you want to create your own greenware, pay $35 plus the cost of clay, and an instructor named Hope will lead you through hand-building or on the wheel for up to three hours. Children ages 6 and older are welcome with a family caregiver.

Celebrating a Life: Sunrise Art on display at Firefly Gallery, 15 North Long Beach Blvd. in Surf City through the month of July, is in memory of Jennifer Bryceland.

See You There: Artist John Meehan has a one-man show of his beach paintings at the m.t. burton gallery, 1819 Long Beach Blvd. in Surf City. Meehan captures the stark beach sun and colorful people from his painting sketches on site in Surf City. Maybe you are in one of them. Meehan’s show will be up through July 8.

PSAA Art Patrons: Paintings that are part of the annual Pine Shores Art Association’s Art Patron Show are at the the gallery, 94 Stafford Ave. in Manahawkin with an open house planned for July 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. The actual Art Patron event on July 28 will be held in the Stafford Firehouse from 1 to 4 p.m. Art patrons paid $100 in order to take home an original work of art as numbers are pulled from a hat; the community is invited to watch.

The Pine Shores Art Association offers the following at its gallery: Ongoing portrait sessions are open to all artists for a nominal ($5) model fee on Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m., and Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday is life drawing (undraped model) from 7 to 9 p.m. ($10 model fee required); Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is a “do your own thing” session; artists meet and create their own work. Afterward is “Artists Helping Artists” from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.; drop in with your supplies for some friendly assistance.

Tuckerton Borough: Pine Shores Art Association members have work adorning the walls of the Tuckerton Borough municipal building, 430 East Main St. (Route 9) through September.

Folksy: The Tuckerton Seaport’s new exhibit, “Folk Art 101,” is on display in the Tucker’s Island Lighthouse, featuring decoys, iron work, quilts and more. Admission to the Seaport includes the exhibit. A new exhibit featuring six PSAA artists, “Windows, Doors and Porches,” is in the visitors center.

Take folk art classes at the Seaport: On Saturday, July 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. create a woven heart out of wheat stalks with Christine Metzer; fee is $28 for members/$30 for nonmembers. On Friday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. make a handwoven backpack with Mary May. Fee is $45 for members/$50 nonmembers plus $65 materials fee.

Art@120: Life Drawing at the Historic Old Baptist Church, 120 Main St. (Route 9) in Stafford Township, is every Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Model fee is $10.

Life drawing at the Union Market, 120 Main St. in Tuckerton, is the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m., facilitated by artist Victoria Ford Seiz. Model fee is $15. Bring your own art supplies and beverage.

In the Libraries: Only one “Art Chat” in July at the Tuckerton Library, Thursday, July 18, at 10 a.m. Artists are invited to bring their work to discuss.

Artisans Wanted: The Pinelands Preservation Alliance is accepting submissions for its annual Juried Photography Contest, black and white and color photos of the people, flora and fauna within the Pinelands National Preserve. Up to three images can be sent for a $30 fee and $5 for each additional photo up to six; students get a discount. Deadline for submission is Sept. 15. The Tuckerton Historical Society invites artists and fine crafters to be part of its 45th annual Antique Fair and Flea Market on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Tip Seaman County Park in Tuckerton. A 20- by 20-foot space is available for a fee of $45. There are two rain dates. Makers are invited to submit applications for the fifth annual Makers Festival, to be held at Manahawkin Lake Park on Saturday, Sept. 21. The application fee is $10; information can be found at themakersfest.com.
